In the short time that I have been writing this blog I have already had a few friends and family members share struggles with me that I was not aware of. This definitely gives me more inspiration to keep writing. People need to realize they are not alone in their challenges. Again, you don’t choose introversion or extroversion, just like you don’t choose being right or left handed.
Introversion and extroversion are not good or bad, but just are. You cannot change what is at the core of introversion, such as the amount of time you naturally spend in your head or the way you process information. However, you can become better at small talk or public speaking or overcome shyness or many other things. When talking about introversion, it is not about labeling yourself or others, but it is helpful to identify patterns so we can have some great conversations around understanding ourselves and others.
