I believe that introverts worry more than extroverts. After all, introverts tend to live in their heads more where worry exists.
I have done my fair share of worry over the years. What if I say the wrong thing? Did I leave the iron on? What if no one reads my blog?
In his classic book, How to Stop Worrying and Start Living, Dale Carnegie gives some great advice “If you have a worry problem, do these three things: 1. Ask yourself: “What is the worst that can possibly happen?” 2. Prepare to accept it if you have to. 3. Then calmly proceed to improve on the worst.”
I have used this advice from time to time and it has greatly reduced and often eliminated worry. I may worry that no one will read this blog and I tell myself that even if not one person reads it, I will have captured my ideas on a topic very important to me.
