Sometimes you have to let people know how you operate best.
And sometimes I need to take time to think about things. I do my best work when I have gathered as much information as possible and then mull it over for awhile. I don’t always need this processing time, but I do now give myself permission to ask for “time to think” as needed.
Some people may be impatient with having to wait for an answer, but just assure them this is how you work best and it is worth the wait.
